By purchasing our services or products, you agree to be bound by this Refund Policy. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Photography Services Refund Policy
Booking Deposits
To secure a photography session or event coverage, we require a non-refundable booking deposit. The amount of this deposit varies depending on the type of service and will be clearly communicated to you before booking.
Cancellation by Client
Our refund policy for client cancellations is as follows:
- Cancellation more than 30 days before the scheduled session: Full refund of any payments made, except for the non-refundable booking deposit.
- Cancellation between 14-30 days before the scheduled session: 50% refund of any payments made beyond the booking deposit.
- Cancellation less than 14 days before the scheduled session: No refund will be provided.
Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your photography session:
- Rescheduling more than 14 days before the scheduled session: No additional fee will be charged for the first reschedule. Subsequent reschedules may incur a fee of £50.
- Rescheduling between 7-14 days before the scheduled session: A rescheduling fee of £75 will apply.
- Rescheduling less than 7 days before the scheduled session: A rescheduling fee of £100 will apply.
All rescheduling is subject to our availability. If we cannot accommodate your new requested date, our standard cancellation policy will apply.
Cancellation by Photographer
In the rare event that we need to cancel a photography session due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances:
- We will make every effort to reschedule your session at a mutually convenient time.
- If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund, including the booking deposit, will be provided.
- If requested, we may also attempt to find another qualified photographer to cover your session.
Weather-Related Cancellations
For outdoor photography sessions:
- If weather conditions make it impossible or unsafe to proceed with the session, we will reschedule at no additional cost.
- The determination of whether weather conditions are unsuitable will be made by Ambient Wave Photography.
- Light rain or overcast conditions generally do not qualify for weather-related cancellations, as these conditions can sometimes create beautiful photographic opportunities.
2. Digital Products Refund Policy
Digital Downloads
Due to the nature of digital products, all sales of digital downloads are final and non-refundable once the download link has been accessed or the product has been downloaded.
Digital Photography Packages
For digital photography packages:
- If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the photos delivered, please contact us within 14 days of delivery to discuss your concerns.
- We may offer retouching, additional photos, or partial refunds at our discretion.
- Full refunds for digital photography packages are generally not provided once the images have been delivered and approved by the client.
Online Courses and Tutorials
For online photography courses and tutorials:
- You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not accessed more than 25% of the course content.
- After 14 days or if you have accessed more than 25% of the content, no refund will be provided.
3. Print Products Refund Policy
Quality Issues
If you receive print products (prints, albums, canvases, etc.) that have quality issues or are damaged:
- Please notify us within 7 days of receipt, including clear photos of the defects.
- If we determine there is a quality issue, we will replace the product at no additional cost.
- Shipping costs for returning defective products will be reimbursed upon proof of shipment.
Custom Print Orders
For custom print orders:
- All custom print orders are final once production has begun.
- We will provide digital proofs for approval before production of custom items.
- If you are unsatisfied with the digital proof, you may request revisions before approving production.
Color and Appearance Variations
Please note that:
- Colors and appearance may vary slightly between digital images and printed products due to differences in screen calibration and printing processes.
- Minor variations in color or appearance do not qualify for refunds or replacements.
- Significant deviations from the approved proof will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
4. Workshops and Training Refund Policy
In-Person Workshops
For in-person photography workshops and training sessions:
- Cancellation more than 30 days before the workshop date: Full refund minus a £50 administrative fee.
- Cancellation between 14-30 days before the workshop date: 50% refund.
- Cancellation less than 14 days before the workshop date: No refund will be provided.
Workshop Transfers
If you are unable to attend a workshop, you may:
- Transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost by notifying us at least 7 days before the workshop date.
- Transfer your registration to a future workshop (subject to availability) for a transfer fee of £75 if requested at least 14 days before the workshop date.
Workshop Cancellation by Organizer
If we need to cancel a workshop:
- You will receive a full refund of all fees paid.
- Alternatively, you may choose to transfer your registration to a future workshop.
- We are not responsible for any related expenses such as travel or accommodation bookings.
5. Refund Process
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Contact us at [email protected] with your order details and reason for requesting a refund.
- Include your order number, date of purchase, and any relevant information or evidence supporting your refund request.
- For defective products, please include clear photos showing the issues.
Processing Time
Our refund processing timeline is as follows:
- We will acknowledge your refund request within 2 business days.
- Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 5-10 business days.
- Once approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 3-5 business days.
- Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
Refund Methods
Refunds will be processed using the original payment method:
- Credit/debit card payments will be refunded to the same card.
- Bank transfers will be returned to the originating account.
- PayPal payments will be refunded to the PayPal account used for the original transaction.
In cases where the original payment method is no longer available, we will work with you to find an alternative refund method.
6. Exceptions and Special Circumstances
Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. In cases of serious illness, bereavement, or other significant life events, we may consider exceptions to our standard refund policy. Such situations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and documentation may be required.
Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions):
- We will make every effort to reschedule services or events.
- If rescheduling is not possible, we may offer credits for future services or partial refunds.
- Our response will vary depending on the specific circumstances and any costs already incurred.
Dissatisfaction with Services
If you are dissatisfied with our photography services:
- Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your photos to discuss your concerns.
- We may offer additional editing, a partial reshoot, or other solutions to address your concerns.
- Refunds for subjective aspects of photography (style, artistic approach, etc.) are generally not provided, as examples of our work are available before booking.

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to review this Refund Policy periodically for changes. Your continued use of our services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
